Cryptocurrency Prices Stabilize After Strong Rally
Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP) are experiencing some volatility after last week's strong rally. BTC is currently trading at $78,760, with its bullish bias still intact despite a slight pullback.
The cryptocurrency is facing headwinds near the $80,000 psychological threshold, which could limit further upside to the $82,850 swing high. A confirmed breakout of these resistance zones could open up the path towards the 127.2% Fibonacci extension level at $89,663.
On the daily chart, momentum is cooling down as the Relative Strength Index (14) nears 80, indicating overbought conditions and a stretched advance. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and signal line still maintain an upward slope, but with a waning histogram, suggesting that upside momentum is slowing.
Ethereum (ETH) is also consolidating below $2,500 as buyers hit pause, but it's still holding above the 50-day EMA at $2,022 and the 200-day EMA at $2,146. The major altcoin is testing the 50% retracement level at $2,476.
Ripple (XRP) is facing downside pressure, down 5% so far this week, but it's still holding above both the 50-day EMA at $1.1646 and the 200-day EMA at $1.3822.
