Cryptocurrency Recovery Arithmetic: How Far Is Each Asset from Its All-Time High?
According to CryptoRank, several major cryptocurrencies are still far from their all-time highs. As of late August 2026, TRON is roughly 21% below its peak, Bitcoin is around 37%, and BNB is about 49%. Ethereum and XRP also have significant gaps to bridge at 50% and 60% respectively. Solana lags behind with a substantial 67% drop.
CryptoRank calculated the arithmetic required for each asset to reach its previous high, revealing that it's not symmetrical. A drawdown of 20% requires a 25% recovery, while a 50% fall necessitates doubling the price. For Solana, a triple from current levels is needed to match its record.
The site cautions against treating distance from an all-time high as a measure of value or using it to predict future performance. Instead, it provides context on how much of the previous cycle's damage has been repaired and highlights overhead supply, which can stall recoveries at specific price levels.
