Australia's financial watchdog, AUSTRAC, has suspended Cryptolink Pty Ltd's Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) registration for three months due to ongoing concerns about its compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing obligations.

Cryptolink operates a network of 96 cryptocurrency automatic teller machines (CATMs) across Australia, allowing customers to exchange cash for cryptocurrency. The company was previously issued an enforceable undertaking in October 2025 after AUSTRAC's Cryptocurrency Taskforce identified alleged contraventions of the anti-money laundering laws.

AUSTRAC CEO Brendan Thomas stated that Cryptolink failed to meet basic reporting obligations, including submitting threshold transaction reports and responding to requests for information. As a result, the company is no longer allowed to operate its CATMs until it can demonstrate compliance with AML/CTF regulations.
