CryptoQuant Flags Potential Bitcoin Correction Amid Surging Profits
CryptoQuant, an on-chain analytics firm, has issued a warning about potential Bitcoin correction as profits peak. The company notes that surging realized profits, cooling spot demand, and a persistently negative Coinbase Premium Index suggest a correction could be on the table.
The highest level of daily realized profits since December 2025 was reached on May 4 at 14,600 BTC. Since mid-August, net realized profits have contributed around 110,000 BTC to Bitcoin's overall value. Unrealized profit margins have also skyrocketed, reaching 33% in September.
CryptoQuant characterizes recent rallies as 'speculative' or 'bear market rallies', driven primarily by futures and derivatives activity rather than genuine spot accumulation. The divergence between futures-driven price action and weakening spot demand is the dynamic CryptoQuant finds most concerning.
