Crypto's Honeymoon Period Fades as Ownership Declines
Crypto's popularity has declined over the last year as financial experts say it has lost some of its luster with investors.
A Gallup survey found that crypto ownership among all U.S. adults fell from 14% to 9% and among investors, who have $10,000 or more in investable assets, dropped from 17% to 11%.
Two-thirds of investors say they aren't interested in buying crypto, up just a few percentage points compared to last year. However, around 20% remain intrigued by crypto or plan to buy it.
The share of young men, aged 18-49, who own crypto has fallen from 33% to 24%, but bitcoin and Ethereum still seem to have some staying power.
