Crypto's Layoff List Grows as Anchorage Digital Cuts 17% of Workforce

Share

Anchorage Digital, a federally chartered US digital asset bank, has made significant cuts to its workforce. According to reports, the company laid off 17% of its staff, which could affect around 68 jobs.

The layoffs are attributed to the year-long crypto market slump. This is not the first time Anchorage has undergone major reductions in staffing, as it cut 20% of its workforce in 2023 due to being severed from banks.

Anchorage joins a growing list of crypto firms that have reduced staff numbers this year. Other notable companies include Gemini, Crypto.com, Coinbase, Dune, Luno, Bitwise, and more.
