CSD BR Begins Mirroring BTG Pactual Fund Ownership on XRP Ledger

Instruments
XRP BTG RPL
Share

Brazil's Central Securities Depository (CSD BR) has begun mirroring BTG Pactual fund ownership records on the public XRP Ledger. This move is part of a partnership with Ripple, which aims to provide a complementary querying and auditing layer for approved institutions.

The mirrored shares use XRPL's Multi-Purpose Token standard and are accessible only to authorized corporate and banking participants who have undergone know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering checks. CSD BR retains the official source of record for registration, custody, and settlement, while the XRP Ledger copy serves as a verification layer.

The launch is intended to integrate audit and verification functions into existing market infrastructure without transferring them wholesale to XRP Ledger. CSD BR has more than BRL 22 trillion in registered assets and can process millions of transactions within minutes.
