Ctrl Crypto Wallet Shuts Down August 3rd: Users Must Act Now

Share

Crypto wallet Ctrl is ceasing full service on August 3rd. Users have until then to export their recovery phrase, transfer assets, or secure their accounts before sending, receiving, swaps, and dApp connections stop.

The app's deprecation notice warns that installed copies will continue to function through August 2nd, with a second clock ticking down for access. Ctrl emphasizes that the recovery phrase remains the key to reopening accounts in another compatible wallet, but cannot promise that an app copy will keep opening after the cutoff date.

The company advises users to export their recovery phrase and import it into a compatible wallet or transfer assets to addresses they control before August 3rd. Ctrl warns against scams offering migration tokens, compensation airdrops, or refunds in exchange for the recovery phrase.
