Curaçao Crypto Casino Data Leak Exposes Thousands of Operators
A massive data leak has exposed thousands of Curaçao-registered crypto casinos and gambling firms after the island nation's regulator was hacked. The leak includes financial plans, audits, business structures, and funding sources for over 1,000 operators.
The leaked database contains over 40,000 documents, which were extracted from Curaçao and Malta's gambling authorities by a team of journalists. German journalist Lilith Wittmann claims that the group researched the industry before resorting to what they described as an 'overriding public interest' hack.
The leak reveals details about several major crypto casinos, including Rollbit, 1xBet, Stake, and Roobet. One user confirmed that the owner of Rollbit is Daniel Dixon, also known as 'Lucky,' who has been linked to a 2016 CS: GO scandal involving predetermined dice rolls.
The leak also shows that Tether.bet was funded with $3.7 million from the sale of a London flat by its beneficial owner, Hon Kong Yong. This flat was sold to Peter A. Fanconi, chairman of BlueOrchard Finance. Yong was reportedly influential in helping George Cottrell, Nigel Farage's closest aide, into a corporate finance network within the City of London.
