Cyber Users Must Withdraw Assets by Aug 15 or Face Smart Contract Recovery
Cyber company is warning users of its CyberWallet and Cyber Passkey Wallet services that they have until August 15 to withdraw their assets. The shutdown will take both interfaces offline, leaving users who still hold balances with a technical recovery process that the company will not support.
Cyber's official notice states that tokens will remain on-chain after the interfaces close, but the supported route for accessing and moving them will be removed. Users are advised to transfer their assets to external wallets before August 15.
The company has provided specific instructions for each wallet type: CyberWallet users should transfer standard supported tokens to their signer wallet, while Passkey Wallet users should transfer all assets to an external wallet and confirm that their balances are cleared.
Cyber is also offering a resolution for eligible CyberWallet users who have made SmartGas deposits. These users will receive Surf coupons instead of being able to withdraw their assets.
