CZ Bets Big on Tokenized Assets
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao has reversed his previous skepticism about real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, expressing optimism about its growth potential.
Speaking at the EASY Residency program hosted by YZi Labs, formerly known as Binance Labs, CZ highlighted growing demand for tokenized assets, including U.S. Treasuries and stock tokens like bStocks.
RWA tokenization involves converting ownership of physical or financial assets into digital tokens on a blockchain, enabling fractional ownership, increased liquidity, and faster settlement times.
The trend has been gaining traction, with institutional players such as asset managers and banks exploring tokenization to streamline operations and reduce costs. The potential market size is substantial, with some analysts projecting trillions of dollars in tokenized assets over the next decade.
