CZ Predicts On-Chain IPOs as Tokenized Securities Expand
CZ, the founder of Binance, believes that initial public offerings (IPOs) will soon move on-chain. This prediction is not accompanied by a timeline or details about the structure of these on-chain IPOs.
Tokenized stocks currently hold around $2.9 billion in distributed value, according to data from RWA.xyz. In April 2026, France's ST Group raised €2.07 million through a fully tokenized IPO completed on the Paris-based Lightning Stock Exchange (Lise).
The European Union's Distributed Ledger Technology Pilot Regime enabled this transaction. Unlike many other tokenized-stock products, ST Group issued its equity through a blockchain-based market from the initial offering stage. Investors received regulated shares rather than tokens providing only synthetic price exposure.
