Czechia Leads the Way in Cryptocurrency Adoption Amid EU Disparities
In recent years, the European cryptocurrency industry has shifted from being a subcultural hobby to an institutional acceptance. The MiCA guidelines have played a significant role in this transformation, with the continent leading the way.
However, there are still disparities in the development of digital tools among EU countries. A striking example of this is the contrast between Czechia and Hungary. While it's only a few hundred kilometers from Budapest to Prague, the Czech Partners Bank offers Bitcoin purchasing options directly through its app.
The bank, which was established in 2024 as part of the Partners Financial Services financial advisory network, has over 174,000 customers and deposits exceeding 650 billion forints. Interestingly, it also provides an opportunity to purchase or sell Bitcoin within its app, with prices starting at 7,500 forints.
The service is free to activate and manage, but a 1.5% commission applies to transactions. However, this may change in the future as 'jedhono, pro dva, pro rodinu' packages become available.
