D3 Launches Frontier, Bringing Priority Domain Access to Crypto Users
D3 has launched Frontier, a membership program that provides priority access to new internet top-level domains. The program ties in with ICANN's latest expansion round for domain extensions and offers users a way to participate in this market without needing a direct relationship with a registry.
Members can deposit eligible assets with supported vault providers on Solana and Hyperliquid, earn Frontier Points, and use those points to establish priority for names from participating registries before general registration. At launch, the Solana vault is supported by Loopscale, while the Hyperliquid vault is supported by Hyperion DeFi and Upshift.
The move places D3 at the center of a push to bring traditional internet naming assets onto blockchain-based systems, with contributions to Doma Protocol described as a DNS-compliant blockchain intended to tokenize internet domains and create a market structure around them.
