D3 Launches Frontier Program for Priority Domain Access
D3, a core contributor to Doma Protocol, has launched Frontier, a program that allows users to earn points toward priority access to new internet domain names. The program is open to those who deposit eligible assets in Solana and Hyperliquid vaults, with two vaults currently supported: Loopscale on Solana and Hyperion DeFi and Upshift on Hyperliquid.
The points earned can be committed toward names offered by participating domain registries, which will set their own timing and eligibility rules before the names become generally available. This means that priority access does not amount to ownership of a domain, but rather gives users a head start in registration.
ICANN has confirmed that 1,616 applications have qualified to proceed in its 2026 round for new domain extensions, with D3's Frontier program offering an opportunity for crypto users to participate in this established domain market. The company describes the launch as 'how crypto gets in at the start of this domain supercycle.'
