Dark Web Network 'Icy White North' Dismantled by York Regional Police

York Regional Police have dismantled an alleged criminal drug network operating through the dark web, known as 'Icy White North.'

The investigation, which began in January, led to the arrests of three men and two women, who now face 81 charges, including conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, trafficking controlled substances and possessing a firearm.

Police seized more than $3 million worth of drugs, including fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, MDMA, LSD, and illicit prescription pills, as well as over $1 million in luxury goods, such as cars, watches, and purses, a firearm, tasers, electronic devices, and approximately $200,000 in cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin.

The network allegedly took in more than $100,000 in monthly revenue, with cumulative proceeds in the millions of dollars over the past four years.
