Dash Surges 17% as Grayscale's Zcash ETF Fueling Privacy Coin Rally
Dash saw its price surge by nearly 17% on September 4, reaching an intraday high of $56.85 before stabilizing near $55.76. This significant increase is attributed to renewed interest in the privacy coin sector, which has been fueled by the launch and rapid growth of Grayscale's spot Zcash ETF.
The ETF, launched on August 25 with initial assets around $300 million, quickly surpassed $400 million within days, driving up the price of Zcash (ZEC) past $1,000. This milestone has generated significant attention, drawing investors to alternative privacy coins like Dash in search of sector momentum.
Dash's core team has not announced any new project developments that could explain the surge independently. However, technical analysis indicates strengthening bullish signals, including a golden cross on the daily timeframe and accumulation indicators such as the MACD and Awesome Oscillator. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has also reached 75.91, indicating overbought conditions in the short term.
A significant support and resistance level for Dash is currently situated between $55 to $57, a range where it previously failed to break through in May. If buyers can overcome this resistance, the price may clear a path toward $60 and beyond. Crypto analyst Patel has identified long-term upside targets at $100, $200, $300, $400, and $500 for Dash, but stresses the importance of defending the $30 support zone for ongoing bullish potential.
