Ripple's Chief Technology Officer Emeritus David Schwartz recently revealed that his personal XRP holdings have significantly decreased, dropping by 92% from a peak of 26 million to approximately 2 million. This substantial reduction in his XRP stash has sparked interest among crypto enthusiasts and market participants.

Schwarz clarified his current position after being questioned about the extent of his asset sales over time. He emphasized that he did not liquidate all of his XRP, contrary to suggestions from some users who speculated that he may have sold or 'dumped' his entire stake.

The loss could be attributed to various actions such as market sales, transfers, gifts, or expenditures, but Schwartz did not provide further details on the breakdown. He openly acknowledged regretting selling some of his early holdings, including XRP at $0.10 and Ethereum at about $1, attributing these decisions mainly to his risk aversion at the time.
