D'CENT Wallet Hackers Swipe $20M in XRP from 6,678 Users
A massive cryptocurrency heist has shaken the crypto community as hackers stole nearly $20 million in XRP from 6,678 D'CENT wallets between September 15 and 20.
The attackers used a pre-existing list of private keys to withdraw 11.746 million XRP, which were then sent to various services such as THORChain, unionchain.ai, NEAR Intents, and Binance deposit addresses.
The funds were rapidly dispersed, making it difficult for authorities to track and freeze them. D'CENT is working with law enforcement and other stakeholders to try to recover some of the stolen assets.
