DCENT Wallet Reports Security Breach Involving Abnormal Asset Transfers
The DCENT Wallet, which supports XRP among other coins, has reported a security breach. According to XRPL Korea, an XRP Ledger Korean Developer Community on X, abnormal asset transfers were detected involving the DCENT App Wallet.
DCENT is conducting an urgent investigation and has issued guidance for users who need to transfer assets urgently. Users who hold any assets in the DCENT App Wallet or use the same mnemonic phrase for both the App Wallet and hardware wallet are strongly recommended to transfer their assets as soon as possible to a secure hardware wallet or another trusted wallet address.
DCENT also urges the crypto community to be on alert for scams, warning users not to send assets to any wallet address provided through DMs or unofficial channels and not to click links or follow transfer instructions from unverified sources. The security incident has no impact on DCENT Hardware Wallets themselves.
