The XRP community is on high alert after DCENT Wallet, a web3 crypto wallet that supports numerous coins including XRP, reported a security breach.

According to an urgent investigation by DCENT, abnormal asset transfers were detected involving its App Wallet. Based on initial findings, the issue appears to be limited to the App Wallet and not the hardware wallets themselves.

In a series of tweets, DCENT warned users who hold assets in the affected wallet or share the same mnemonic phrase with their hardware wallet to transfer their funds as soon as possible to a secure hardware wallet or another trusted wallet address.

The company also cautioned against scams and phishing attempts, advising users not to send assets to any unverified wallet addresses or follow instructions from unofficial channels. DCENT emphasized that it will never ask for recovery phrases or private keys, nor will it request users to send assets to a separate wallet address for recovery or compensation.
