DeFi Platforms Payy Network, Duelbits, and Meter.io Suffer $11M in Combined Losses
On September 24, 2026, three DeFi platforms - Payy Network, Duelbits, and Meter.io - suffered significant security breaches, resulting in combined losses exceeding $11 million.
The largest theft occurred at Duelbits, with nearly $7 million drained from its hot wallets across multiple blockchains. The attacker exploited private key exposure to sign legitimate transactions without needing to exploit a smart contract.
Payy Network suffered losses of $1.8 million through verification flaws and bridge vulnerabilities, while Meter.io was affected by an unauthorized issuance of unbacked tokens valued at $2.3 million. Following the sale of these illicitly minted tokens on PancakeSwap, the Meter ecosystem saw a significant collapse in market prices.
The security incidents have raised concerns about the vulnerability of DeFi platforms to exploits and highlights the importance of robust security measures in preventing such breaches.
