The DeFi sector has seen significant gains in recent days, driven by the rebound of major assets such as BTC and ETH. However, revenue data suggests that some projects are performing better than others.

Uniswap (UNI) has emerged as one of the top-performing DEXs, with $7.18 million in revenue over the past 30 days. This is a significant increase from its monthly revenue of $2.8 million to $4.6 million between January and July this year.

Uniswap's revenue comes from the Protocol Fee charged during transactions, which has been enabled across all Uniswap v2 pools and some v3 pools on multiple chains, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, OP Mainnet, BNB Chain, and Polygon. The protocol fee flows into the TokenJar, and external participants who wish to withdraw the accumulated assets must burn the corresponding amount of UNI.

Other notable projects in the DeFi sector include Jupiter (JUP), Meteora (MET), Raydium (RAY) on Solana's ecosystem, PancakeSwap (CAKE) on BNB Chain, Aerodrome (AERO) on Base, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), Aave (AAVE), and ether.fi (ETHFI).

These projects have seen significant revenue growth over the past 30 days, with some allocating a portion of their protocol revenue to buybacks and burns. For example, Jupiter allocates 50% of its on-chain revenue to buy back JUP, while Aave initiated its buyback program in April 2025 and had cumulatively repurchased over 205,000 AAVE as of March 2026.

It's worth noting that revenue data is a key indicator of a project's long-term sustainability. While market conditions may fluctuate, projects with continuous revenue generation are more likely to have genuine demand and thus remain viable in the DeFi sector.
