DeFi Technologies Expands Valour ETPs and Launches AI Hedge Fund
DeFi Technologies ended last week with a 3.9% rise in its share price, closing at EUR 0.4606. This move reflected broader strength in the digital asset market, particularly Bitcoin's gains, rather than any specific corporate news. The company's stock often follows sector-wide trends, even as its operational focus remains on expanding its product lineup.
Under its Valour subsidiary, DeFi Technologies has been broadening its range of exchange-traded products (ETPs) to provide easier access to digital assets. The latest addition, the VALOUR ZCASH (ZEC) SEK ETP, started trading on Sweden's Spotlight Stock Market on September 29. This brings Valour's total ETP offerings to over 100, reinforcing its strategy to deepen trading activity in Europe.
Beyond traditional ETPs, DeFi Technologies is venturing into more sophisticated investment products. On September 21, Valour launched its first hedge fund, the Smart Crypto Fund SP, in collaboration with Neuronomics AG. This fund targets professional investors and uses AI-driven trading models, marking a shift from passive tracking products.
Operationally, Valour has seen significant growth, with assets under management (AUM) reaching $640.2 million as of September 25, a 61.2% increase from June 30. This growth is driven by consistent monthly net inflows, which are crucial for the company's revenue model. Technically, the stock's recent rebound has slightly improved its position, though it remains far below its recent highs.
