Delaware County Supervisors Receive Zoning Commission's Recommendation on Bitcoin Mining Proposal

The Delaware County supervisors received a recommendation from the zoning commission regarding a bitcoin mining site. The recommendation was made after the zoning commission voted 3-1 to deny Compass Mining's request to rezone property from A-1 Agricultural to I-1 Light Industrial on August 12.

Compass Mining had sought to build a bitcoin mining facility at 2204 320th St in Hopkinton, but their proposal was met with opposition. The zoning commission ultimately decided against granting the necessary zoning change.

The supervisors acknowledged receipt of the recommendation during their meeting on August 31.
