Dell Technologies has announced a significant partnership in Japan with JERA, the country's leading power generation company, and RHAELM, an AI infrastructure specialist from the UK. The three companies have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a standardized framework for AI infrastructure deployment throughout Japan.

The initiative will start with a hyperscale data center facility in Chiba, which is expected to surpass $15 billion in total investment upon completion. JERA will provide the land adjacent to its Chiba power generation facility, while RHAELM will be responsible for development, operations management, and securing financing.

Dell's contribution centers on delivering standardized, rack-scale AI infrastructure components for the installation. This approach emphasizes using a uniform, repeatable architecture instead of customized solutions for each deployment.
