Deribit Expands into Listed Equity and ETF Perpetuals with 90+ New Contracts
Deribit, a leading cryptocurrency derivatives exchange, has expanded its product offerings to include over 90 USDC-settled linear perpetual futures. The new contracts cover a wide range of assets, including public companies, ETFs, commodities, and private-company valuations.
The launch marks Deribit's first foray into listed equity and ETF perpetuals, with the exchange introducing the products in stages. Some instruments are currently marked as unlisted in Deribit's specifications, meaning their terms remain indicative until trading begins.
These new contracts give traders synthetic exposure to a reference price, rather than requiring them to purchase the underlying asset. For example, a stock perpetual tracks a listed company's price through a derivative contract, rather than transferring the share itself.
The new instruments are quoted, margined, and cash-settled in USDC, allowing Deribit to offer contracts referencing different markets inside the same derivatives account.
