Deribit Taps Coinbase Liquidity with New Broker Dealer Licence

Share

Deribit, a leading cryptocurrency derivatives exchange, has received a Broker Dealer Licence from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), allowing its spot orders to be routed to Coinbase Exchange for execution.

This upgrade connects Deribit's spot market to Coinbase's centralized orderbook, potentially giving clients deeper liquidity and tighter spreads. Clients will also gain access to hundreds of additional assets listed on Coinbase Exchange.

Assets bought through the upgraded spot product can be used as collateral for derivatives trading on Deribit, subject to regulatory approval.
