Deutsche Bank Enters Regulated Crypto Custody Market in Europe

Deutsche Bank is set to enter the European crypto market with its new digital asset custody service. The bank plans to offer this service to corporate and institutional clients in Europe, with initial users expected later this year.

The service will support Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDC, EURC, and EURAU at launch, pending regulatory approval. Deutsche Bank will manage wallets and private keys directly on behalf of clients, removing the need for institutions to build and maintain their own custody infrastructure.

The bank's custody solution is built around multiple layers of operational control, including hardware-based key generation and protection, multi-person approval processes, segregation of duties, and redundant technical infrastructure. The setup reflects the same institutional-grade security standards as Deutsche Bank's traditional financial operations.
