Deutsche Bank Targets Institutional Clients with Regulated Crypto Custody
Deutsche Bank has announced plans to launch a regulated cryptocurrency custody service by the end of 2026. The initial offering will support Bitcoin, Ethereum, and selected stablecoins, including USDC, EURC, and EURAU.
The service will allow clients to store digital assets and transfer them to third parties while Deutsche Bank manages wallets and private keys on their behalf.
Deutsche Bank's service targets institutional and corporate clients, including corporations, asset managers, hedge funds, custodians, brokers, and sovereign institutions. The bank has already obtained a crypto asset custody license in Germany and will operate within the existing licensing framework.
