Deutsche Bank Unveils European Digital Asset Custody Service

Deutsche Bank is set to launch a digital asset custody service for its European corporate and institutional clients, pending regulatory approval.

The bank will manage the wallets and private keys of its clients, allowing them to hold digital assets like BTC, ETH, USDC, EURC, and EURAU without building their own infrastructure.

The initiative involves technology providers Taurus and Bitpanda, with plans to expand supported assets based on client demand.

Deutsche Bank's relationship with Taurus already has a solid track record, having established a partnership for cryptocurrency custody services in 2023. The bank's co-head of Corporate Bank, Gerald Podobnik, emphasized that digital assets are not a replacement for traditional financial systems but rather a complement to existing market infrastructure.
