DEX Market Share Hits Record High as CEX Volumes Plummet

Decentralized exchanges (DEXs) have taken a record share of crypto trading as centralized exchange volumes hit a 32-month low. In July, DEXs captured 19.5% of combined spot volume, while CEX activity fell by 23.9% to $3.76 trillion.

This shift towards decentralized trading has put pre-listing tokens in the spotlight. Among them are five presales: AlphaPepe (ALPE), Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER), Maxi Doge (MAXI), SUBBD, and LiquidChain (LIQUID). These projects offer a range of opportunities from meme coins to AI-powered creator platforms.

AlphaPepe is one of the most attention-grabbing presales, with $2.54 million raised and over 11,300 holders. The project plans to close its presale in Q1 2027 and launch on a DEX during the same quarter, with a listing price starting from $0.08.

The growth of DEX market share is significant, but it also raises concerns about liquidity and interoperability. Projects like LiquidChain are addressing these challenges by focusing on cross-chain liquidity and infrastructure.
