DigiFT Launches Tokenized Fidelity Treasury Fund for Institutional Investors
DigiFT, a Singapore-based digital asset exchange licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, has launched a tokenized version of Fidelity Investments’ U.S. Treasury money market fund. The announcement, made on October 6, 2026, provides institutional and accredited investors with onchain access to interests in the fund, marking a significant step in the integration of traditional financial instruments with blockchain technology.
The fund’s holdings, which include cash and short-dated U.S. Treasuries, meet the reserve-asset criteria outlined in the GENIUS Act, a U.S. regulation that sets standards for stablecoin issuers. This alignment underscores the growing demand for regulated, high-quality, short-duration collateral on public blockchains. DigiFT has positioned the launch as an extension of its cash-management category, reflecting its broader strategy to deepen the range of institutional-grade assets available onchain.
Fidelity’s Head of Digital Asset Management, Cynthia Lo Bessette, emphasized the potential of tokenization to expand access to investment products and enable new forms of liquidity and innovation. The collaboration with DigiFT is part of a broader effort to integrate onchain investment products within emerging digital financial ecosystems. DigiFT itself has already facilitated 42 token issuances, totaling over USD 435 million in settled subscriptions, across various asset classes.
DigiFT’s regulatory standing, backed by licenses from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, has been instrumental in its success. The company serves as the onchain tokenization and distribution partner for several major asset managers, including BNY, Franklin Templeton, Invesco, SBI, and UBS. Looking ahead, DigiFT aims to turn this new listing into sustained institutional use, though specific subscription figures and timelines for expansion have not been disclosed.
