Digital Commodities Acquires Solana Amid AI-Driven Blockchain Shift
Digital Commodities Inc., an investment company listed on the CSE and OTCQB under the ticker DIGI (CSE) / DGCMF (OTCQB), has formally adopted a two-tier digital asset treasury strategy. The new strategy involves maintaining a reserve foundation anchored by 11 Bitcoin (BTC) and cash, while introducing a separate allocation to select digital assets that management believes are positioned to benefit from the growth of artificial intelligence.
The company's first allocation under this strategy is approximately C$100,000 worth of Solana (SOL), representing about 5% of its estimated net asset value as of September 28, 2026. This investment was funded by monetizing a portion of the company's physical gold holdings.
The two-tier framework will allow Digital Commodities to maintain a disciplined approach to digital assets while adapting to market conditions and emerging trends in artificial intelligence and blockchain infrastructure.
