Digital Commodities Acquires Solana as Part of AI-Infrastructure Strategy
Digital Commodities Inc., a company operating a two-tier digital asset treasury, has announced its adoption of an AI-infrastructure strategy. The Company's reserve foundation remains anchored by 11 Bitcoin (BTC), together with cash.
To fund the initial Solana position under the new strategy, Digital Commodities monetized a portion of its physical gold holdings, valued at approximately C$100,000, representing around 5% of the Company's estimated net asset value as of September 28, 2026. The acquisition is part of the Company's first allocation to digital assets it believes are positioned to benefit from the growth of artificial intelligence as an economic driver of blockchain activity.
Solana, a programmable finance platform, has been chosen as the Company's initial position in this new allocation due to its role in stablecoins, tokenization, and high-throughput, low-cost transaction processing. The Company will continue evaluating other established and emerging digital assets against this framework.
