DIMOCO Introduces Stablecoin Settlement for Merchants via Blockchain Technology
DIMOCO, an Austrian licensed payment institution and principal member of Visa and Mastercard, has introduced stablecoin settlement for its merchants. This new solution gives businesses faster access to their settlement funds and greater cross-border agility via blockchain technology.
The stablecoin settlement is embedded into DIMOCO's offering and is made available through a partnership with Fipto, a MiCA-regulated crypto-asset service provider. This collaboration enables DIMOCO merchants to receive funds directly into a digital wallet, providing an alternative route that is not limited by traditional banking hours and settlement cycles.
Clemens Leitner, CEO at DIMOCO, said, 'Settlement infrastructure should not determine how quickly, where or even whether a business can operate.' He added that stablecoin settlement gives merchants access to infrastructure that allows money to move faster while removing barriers that can limit how they operate and grow across markets.
The solution offers settlement in EUR and USD stablecoins, which are designed to maintain a stable value relative to the euro and US dollar. Patrick Mollard, Co-founder & CEO of Fipto, said, 'The infrastructure behind payments is changing.' He added that stablecoin infrastructures have become more widely integrated, giving businesses new ways to move, receive and manage money.
DIMOCO has over 25 years' experience in providing designed paytech solutions to access the digital economy. Its partnership with Fipto marks a significant step towards enhancing payment infrastructure for its merchants.
