Dinari and Circle Team Up to Tokenize Stocks in the US
Dinari, a Palo Alto-based fintech startup, has deepened its ties with Circle by pushing to make on-chain stock trading a reality for American investors. The company issues what it calls dShares, 1:1 backed tokens representing real-world stocks held in custody.
The partnership builds on Dinari's existing infrastructure for tokenized US equities, which includes over 200 tokenized stocks and ETFs, including Apple and Tesla. Dinari secured its FINRA broker-dealer registration on June 26, 2025, giving it access to trade tokenized equities through its platform.
The company has raised $22.65 million in total funding, including a $12.7 million Series A round backed by notable names like VanEck and Hack VC. Dinari was founded in 2021 and is registered with the SEC as a transfer agent, giving it a regulatory foundation that most crypto-native competitors lack.
With its FINRA registration and SEC transfer agent status, Dinari has established itself as a major player in the tokenized equity market. The partnership with Circle represents a significant step forward for on-chain stock trading, which could potentially disrupt traditional financial markets.
