Dinari Revolutionizes Stock Trading with Tokenized Equity Launch
Dinari has launched tokenized stock trading through self-custody wallets using USDC. This marks the first time eligible U.S. investors can trade tokenized stocks covering all 724 companies in the S&P 500 directly onchain without a traditional brokerage account.
The launch, which took place on August 4, 2026, is a result of Dinari's partnership with Circle. The company has secured regulatory approval for its tokenized-equity platform over a year ago and has been working towards this milestone since then.
dShares, the tokenized equities backing the launch, are tied to corresponding stocks held in qualified custody, preserving rights such as NBBO execution, voting, dividends, and corporate actions. Gabriel Otte, Co-founder and CEO of Dinari, stated that the launch 'brings investing and digital assets together' by allowing users to move between stablecoins and U.S. equities while keeping traditional capital market protections.
The initial launch partners include Monaco, Eldora, and Privy, alongside native USDC dividend support. However, Dinari's disclosures caution that markets for tokenized securities may be limited, potentially making dShares harder to sell at a desired time or price.
