DJT Suffers $361 Million Crypto Losses as Bitcoin Holdings Shrink
Trump Media and Technology Group (DJT) has seen its Bitcoin holdings shrink in the second quarter of this year, as falling crypto prices have resulted in significant losses for the company. According to a quarterly filing released on Monday, DJT held 9,477.16 BTC at the end of June, down from 9,542.16 BTC at the end of March.
The value of these holdings is estimated to be around $557.1 million, which represents a decrease in value due to the decline in Bitcoin's price over the quarter. This loss comes on top of a larger $360.6 million in losses for DJT in the first half of this year.
It's worth noting that Trump Media still holds significant amounts of cryptocurrency, including 756.1 million Cronos tokens (CRO) linked to Crypto.com, although their fair value has also decreased over the quarter.
