DOGE Price Drops Amid Record Inflows and Rising Short Selling
Dogecoin's price has been dropping due to low weekend buy volumes, despite rising demand for the cryptocurrency's ETFs. According to data from SoSoValue, the inflows to Dogecoin ETFs in the week between September 21 and September 25 reached $2.89 million, a record high since their launch in November 2025.
The majority of these inflows came from the Grayscale Dogecoin Trust, which recorded $3.48 million in inflows. In contrast, the 21Shares Dogecoin ETFs recorded outflows of $593,000, while the Bitwise Dogecoin ETF did not record any inflows as it prepares to shut down on October 14.
The rising inflows coincide with an increase in the value of DOGE from $0.087 on September 21 to briefly touch $0.10 before retreating to trade at $0.097 at the time of writing.
