DOGE Price Teeters at $0.0706, Analysts Warn of Violent Break

The price of Dogecoin (DOGE) has been stuck at $0.0706 for some time, showing no momentum and a lack of volume to drive it higher or lower.

This situation is not unusual in cryptocurrency markets, where compression phases like this often precede sharp single-session moves in either direction.

Analysts are warning that the market is in 'standoff mode', which can resolve violently. The Bollinger Band setup is particularly concerning, with DOGE hugging the lower band and no signs of a reversal.

The technical picture is bearish, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) below 42 and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) converging perfectly with its signal line at near-zero. The Bollinger Band setup typically resolves in one of two ways: a snapback toward the middle band or a continued grind lower along the lower band.

The positioning on Binance futures is lopsided, with 77.3% of smart-money participants holding long positions. This could lead to forced liquidations and a cascade down to $0.064-$0.065 if DOGE breaks below $0.069.
