DOGE Surges Past Top Cryptos as Only Asset With Rising Trading Volume
Dogecoin has emerged as an anomaly in the cryptocurrency market by recording a notable increase in trading volume among top-20 digital assets, while most major cryptocurrencies saw decreasing activity.
Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and BNB all saw declines ranging from 35% to over 45%, while Bitcoin's trading volume fell by more than 55% over the previous day. In contrast, Dogecoin moved in the opposite direction with a 92.7% increase in trading volume, reaching about $1.55 billion.
The price chart shows that DOGE spent several weeks consolidating close to the $0.07 support area before the abrupt spike in activity. The token's recent move breaks a pattern of stagnant trading that had dominated July, despite being comparatively small compared to earlier Dogecoin rallies.
