Dogecoin Completes First Golden Cross in 14 Months
Dogecoin (DOGE) has just formed a golden cross on its daily chart, marking the first such event in 14 months. This technical signal occurs when the 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day moving average, typically viewed as a bullish indicator. The last daily golden cross for Dogecoin happened in August 2025, which was followed by a price surge to $0.3 in September 2025. However, the rally did not last, and Dogecoin later experienced significant selling pressure.
The current golden cross comes as Dogecoin has started to recover from a low of $0.06 in mid-August 2026. The price has flipped key resistance levels, including the daily MA 50, which had limited Dogecoin's movements since early 2026. Additionally, DOGE's price has surpassed the daily MA 200 for the first time since October 2025, preceding the golden cross formation.
Recent developments in the Dogecoin ecosystem may also be contributing to positive sentiment. DogeOS launched a public test network for Ethereum-style trading and lending applications using DOGE, expanding use cases beyond payments. Similarly, Metallicus introduced DogecoinVM, a bridge to the Metal network that aims to make Dogecoin transactions 300 times faster.
As of now, Dogecoin is trading at $0.0962, up 3.88% in the last 24 hours. The next key resistance levels to watch are $0.095 and $0.098. A decisive break above $0.106 could target higher levels such as $0.12 and $0.16.
