Dogecoin Completes Golden Cross as ETF Inflows and Testnet Boost Momentum
Dogecoin (DOGE) has completed its first daily golden cross since August 2025, a bullish signal where the 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day moving average. This technical milestone coincides with a 20% recovery in DOGE's price from its mid-September low of $0.079 to around $0.0946. The cryptocurrency's upward momentum is supported by a series of positive developments, including significant inflows into Dogecoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and the launch of the DogeOS public testnet.
The Dogecoin ETFs recorded $3.5 million in inflows over three weeks, increasing total assets from $12 million to $16.2 million. While this is a notable uptick, it remains modest compared to Bitcoin ETF metrics. Additionally, the DogeOS testnet, which went live on September 30, allows developers to experiment with payment systems, trading platforms, and lending protocols using test DOGE tokens. Metallicus also introduced DogecoinVM, enhancing connectivity between Dogecoin and the Metal blockchain network.
Technical analysts are watching key resistance levels, with immediate targets set at $0.10 and $0.106. A sustained break above these levels could open pathways toward $0.12 and $0.16. Market participants are optimistic, citing DOGE's five-year ascending channel and a breakout retest confirmed in 2026. Analyst Crypto Patel outlined potential upside objectives at $0.28, $0.75, and $2.00, with a caution that a two-week candle close beneath $0.065 would negate the pattern.
