Dogecoin Foundation Celebrates Launch of DogeOS and DogecoinVM
The Dogecoin Foundation is celebrating the launch of two significant projects that aim to give holders more use cases for their DOGE tokens. The first project, DogeOS, has opened a public test network for Ethereum-style trading and lending applications, while the second project, DogecoinVM, connects Dogecoin to the Metal network.
Dogecoin Foundation director Timothy Stebbing highlighted these developments in a recent post on X, stating, 'There are more options than ever to build...' He believes that having multiple ways to build on Dogecoin benefits the network.
The team behind DogeOS aims to create an app layer for Dogecoin, allowing developers to build applications using tools they already know. This is seen as a major advantage over traditional payments-focused projects. Meanwhile, Metallicus' DogecoinVM offers a 300x speed boost and instant finality when using the Metal Blockchain.
