Dogecoin Golden Cross Signals Bullish Momentum with Key Resistance Ahead
Dogecoin (DOGE) has seen a notable 3.88% increase, reaching $0.0962, as its daily chart recorded its first golden cross in 14 months. This technical indicator, where the 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day moving average, suggests improving momentum for the cryptocurrency. Buyers now face resistance at $0.095 to $0.098, which they must clear to challenge the September resistance level at $0.106.
The golden cross comes as Dogecoin has been recovering from its August low of $0.06. The cryptocurrency has already surpassed its daily 50-day moving average, which had previously limited its advances, and climbed above the 200-day moving average for the first time since October 2025. A successful breakout could open a path toward higher targets of $0.12 and $0.16.
Beyond technical indicators, Dogecoin's ecosystem is expanding. DogeOS launched a public test network supporting Ethereum-style applications using DOGE, while Metallicus introduced DogecoinVM, connecting Dogecoin with the Metal Blockchain network. These developments aim to enhance the utility of DOGE beyond conventional payments.
Historically, Dogecoin's last golden cross in August 2025 preceded a rise to $0.30 before a market crash erased those gains. The current recovery and crossover signal renewed interest, but buyers must maintain upward momentum to sustain the trend.
