Dogecoin Golden Cross Sparks Short-Term Rebound Hopes
Dogecoin has formed a short-term golden cross on an hourly basis, signaling a near-term rebound. This technical signal comes after a weekend rally where Dogecoin rose from its July 24 low of $0.068 to as high as 6 percent on July 27.
The market is also looking at the possibility of a medium-term rebound alongside the short-term technical signal. Crypto analyst Ali noted that the TD Sequential indicator flashed buy signals on monthly, weekly, three-day and daily charts. He highlighted that such alignment across multiple timeframes is rare.
A key support level to hold onto for Dogecoin is $0.056. If it holds this level, Ali said the cryptocurrency could rebound to $0.16. A broader upside target of $0.45, the top of the channel, was also mentioned in scenarios assuming a price recovery.
Macro factors are also influencing near-term price moves. The U.S. Federal Reserve's interest rate decision due on July 30 is being closely watched, with market participants leaning towards holding the benchmark rate. June core personal consumption expenditures price index data and the latest quarterly gross domestic product figures are also in focus.
