Dogecoin Infrastructure Expands with 'Avalanche' of New Projects
Timothy Stebbing, director of the Dogecoin Foundation, highlighted the rapid growth of new projects on the network. In his recent X post, he described an 'absolute avalanche' of developments following the launch of the DogeOS public test network and Metallicus's DogecoinVM.
DogeOS is a decentralized application layer for Dogecoin that allows developers to use familiar software to build applications leveraging Ethereum compatibility. It aims to give Dogecoin holders more ways to use their coins beyond payments and price speculation. The platform was founded by the team behind MyDoge, a Dogecoin wallet.
Metallicus's DogecoinVM is a bridge between Dogecoin and the Metal network. According to Stebbing, this development implies that there are more options than ever for building solutions on Dogecoin, which he sees as a positive for the network.
