Dogecoin Price Falls Amid $1.5 Billion in Leveraged Positions
The Dogecoin price fell by 4.2 percent on Monday to $0.0932, but what's more significant is the $1.5 billion in leveraged positions that are currently open on the derivatives market.
This represents a good tenth of Dogecoin's market capitalization, which stands at $14.5 billion.
The majority of these leveraged positions are betting on rising prices, despite the current downward pressure on Dogecoin.
In Germany, retail investors have a maximum leverage limit of two to one due to regulatory restrictions, whereas offshore exchanges allow up to 50 times leverage.
