Dogecoin Soars 18% as ETF Inflows Return and Technical Trend Reversals Take Hold
Dogecoin has seen significant gains over the past week, rising by about 18% as Bitcoin approached $87,000. This uptick can be attributed to several factors, including a technical trend reversal and renewed inflows into Dogecoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Crypto analyst Kevin Capital pointed out that Dogecoin has broken through its daily bear-market resistance for the first time this cycle, which may signal a broader bullish trend. According to Capital, the next potential upside zone is between $0.107 and $0.118.
Trader Tardigrade also sees a bullish setup in Dogecoin's charts, citing a monthly bullish pennant that briefly broke down before DOGE reclaimed the pattern. The trader believes that a sustained breakout from this pennant could strengthen the case for further upside.
Crypto trader Scient points to a potential bottom structure developing on Dogecoin's weekly chart, with DOGE potentially forming a higher low. However, Scient expects DOGE to first retrace toward the $0.08-$0.09 area to fill gaps created during the recent rally before potentially breaking out.
The technical improvement comes as institutional flows into Dogecoin products pick up, with U.S. spot Dogecoin ETFs recording $1.17 million in daily net inflows on September 22, the strongest daily inflow since May 2026. This follows a period of zero net inflows for three consecutive weeks.
